This workshop provides participants with an overview of the process whereby the people who are the targets of negative, demeaning and dehumanizing beliefs accept and internalize those messages. We will explore local laws, federal legislation, and the cultures that enable their development during periods from pre-American Revolutionary War to the Civil Rights Movement. This workshop is a prerequisite to participating in Internalized Racial Oppression Workshop II.
